I'll say more about Robert in my eulogy.  For now, I'll just say that he was a valued friend, with an impressive mind and a keen sense of justice.  I'll talk about some of his quirks and his technophobia.  For example he never had a mobile phone, calling  them 'instruments of the devil'.  He was my theatre/film buddy, a voracious reader; and of course an avid  Dr Who Fan.  He was a fellow time-traveller.
